Salem City Marathon

The Salem City Marathon is a celebration of love – a shared love for Running & Wellness. Taking place over Valentine’s Day weekend, this running event is organized and conceptualized by Ramyaa’s Eternity Fitness, founded by Coach Ramyaa Devarajan. The marathon is now in its second year after a successful first edition in 2022. This edition will also be the first event in Tamil Nadu to include all race categories: 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon (21.1K), 20 Miler (32.1K) & Full Marathon (42.2K).

Sweethearts Competition – A special feature of the Salem City Marathon!

Team up with your sweetheart for a chance to win prizes. Runners have the option to enter the 10K Sweethearts Run with their Spouse or Partner. The finishing times for the two Sweethearts will be added together to compete against other couples’ composite times. Couples registering for this category will not be eligible for overall podium prizes.

  • The 32K is a becoming a fast-popular distance among many long distance runners –
  • A point-to-point road race, taking runners on a journey through Salem on a course covered by Reserved Forest on both sides
  • Starting from the Polytechnic 16 KMS from start point and turning back and covering the same distance in opposite direction and ending at Poytechnic.

HALF MARATHON (21.097 KMs) REGISTRATION FEE: ₹ 900

  • The Half Marathon is a distance of 21.097 KMs which is one of the most popular distances among runners
  • The run starts from Polytechnic, taking runners on a journey through Salem on a course covered by Reserved Forest on both sides for 10.55 KMS from start point
  • Turning back and covering the same distance in opposite direction and ending at Poytechnic.

10K REGISTRATION FEE: ₹ 800

  • The 10K is one of the sweet spot of this event with every running enthusiast wanting to attempt and enjoy and be a proud finisher
  • We also have a sweet heart competition for the 10K event and partners can attempt and win attractive prizes
  • The run route Starts from the Polytechnic covers 5 KMs from start point and turning back and covering the same distance in opposite direction and ending at Poytechnic.

5K FUN RUN FEE: ₹ 600

  • The 5K Fun Run is designed to create a festive mood among the netizens of Salem to participate in this most easiest Fun Walk / Run in your own way along with groups 
  • No competition intended in this run.
  • Families, young participants, elderly all alike participate and enjoy the event on the streets of your favorite Salem city
  • The event Starts from the Polytechnic goes 2.5 KMs from start point and turns back covering 2,5 KMs in opposite direction and ending at Poytechnic.

Race Terms and Conditions

Qualification Criteria & Cut-off Time for Race Categories

Runners reaching the finish line after cut-off time will be marked as Did Not Finish (DNF).  

Qualification Window & Entry: 

In order to be qualified into each race category, participants must provide a valid link that demonstrates that they have completed a race in the specified time. The qualification run for entry must be completed after January 1 2022. The last date to submit this link is 15th January 2023. If you do meet the qualification criteria or fail to provide a link by the specified date, your race category will be downgraded. 

Race Entry Changes 

Changes to the race category for upgrade and downgrades are allowed until January 15 2023. You can upgrade to a higher category by paying the difference in price if you meet the qualification conditions.
